Beating The Monday Blues In Ruffles

This weekend, my hubby and I made a short trip down to San Antonio, Texas to see my younger cousin, Elizabeth, get married. It was a beautiful wedding and fabulous weekend! Jake had his Pediatrics shelf exam Friday afternoon, so we were not able to get to San Antonio until midnight. We went down on Cinco De Mayo; how fitting is that?

On Saturday, I met up with a San Antonio blogger, Casey.  We have been following each other for several months, so it’s always neat to meet up with people you’ve met through blogging! After the meet up, my hubby and I went to the Riverwalk with my family for lunch. San Antonio is a neat town. If you live nearby, I recommend it for a weekend getaway!IMG_1256

It may be Monday, but these ruffles will sure help you beat the Monday blues. One of my favorite trends is ruffles. They remind me of the salsa dancer emoji.  I am so glad they’re back in style since I stocked up a few years ago.
The thing I love about this top is the subtle stripes. They’re perfect for spring and this top is light weight, so it’s the perfect transitional piece. I paired it with a navy A line skirt. The top is pretty boxy, so it had to be paired with something more fitted. I wore my favorite rock stud pump to give it a classy look.

This look would be perfect for church, brunch, or a bridal/baby shower. It is very ladylike and classy.

What did you do this weekend?
